Well I finally received the Shift and it is certainly living up to its reputation. By far the best UMPC and with HSDPA it makes this unit completely ultra mobile. For $1899 plus a NextG sim card you have a notebook replacement with an excellent keyboard and a 7 day battery life (on snapvue). Further Details here. Smartphones are becoming very useful devices and far from the compromises of a few years ago. Windows Mobile 6 is a big step from 5 and functionality is more closely focused around phone first pda second… oh and dual processors help. I have had the HTC Touch Cruise for two months and highly recommend it for any business user or anyone who travels.
